I lost one of the retainer rings on my first ride after mounting a flag on my SxS with these clamps. Gorilla Whips replaced the set for me free of charge and they have now included a note in the package to use loctite and to mount the clamps with the retainer rings facing the flag so if they do come loose, you won't lose the retainer ring.

We bought two sets of clamps to use on our existing whips - which are used in our off-road tour business. The first day out, one set broke and we lost the flag.
A week later, the second set - with the flag attached - came off during a ride, leaving us only the bare whip.
We even used "locktight" to secure them to the whip.
During our rides in the Pine Nut Mountains of Northern Nevada, the clamps are not strong enough to secure the flags to our whips as we ride through the pine forest.

Perfect for running day whip flags with grommets. Very well made!
